Playground at Chabad of Coral Springs To See Expansion

A well used playground located on the grounds of the Coral Springs Chabad is slated to see a major expansion, doubling its size as the community sees unprecedented growth.

“We are eager and excited to have it done as quickly as possible,” said Rabbi Avraham Friedman, the Rabbi who runs the Chabad Center. “We’re broadening the age group that can enjoy the playground.”

Meadow’s Playground, inaugurated in 2020 and located on the western end of the Chabad Shul, was dedicated to the beloved Meadow Pollack, an 18-year-old slain in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018.

“That’s exactly the way we wanted Meadow to be remembered,” Coral Springs Talk quoted the Pollack family. “We didn’t want people to go to the cemetery in sadness. We wanted children to play on a playground that was built in memory of her and families to create memories around that playground.”

Now the playground is slated for expansion thanks to another generous $50,000 grant from the Pollack family.
