BDE: Harav Dovid Schochet, 91, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Harav Dovid Schochet OBM, one of the oldest Chabad Rabbonim and an incredible Talmud Chachom who served in multiple Rabbinical position in Toronto, Canada. He passed away on Sunday, the 18th of Shvat, 5784.

He was 91 years old.

Among the many Rabbinical positions held by Harav Dovid Schochat, he held the esteemed position of a former Rosh Vaad Horabbonim of Toronto.

He is survived by his wife Bat Sheva, and children; Rabbi Yossi Schochet (Toronto, Canada), Batya Lisker (Bal Harbour, FL), Rochie Diena (Toronto, Canada), Chana Weisberg (Monsey, NY), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Levaya is scheduled to take place Monday, 12:30pm at Chabad Lubavitch 770 Chabad Gate, in Thornhill.
