BDE: Yaakov Kleinman, 76, OBM
With great sadness we report the passing of Yaakov (Yankel) Kleinman OBM, a longtime member of the Long Beach, CA Chabad community. He passed away on Sunday, the 4th of Shevat, 5784.
He was 76 years old.
A native of Passaic, NJ, he was a talmid at Yeshivos Hadar Hatorah, 770, and Kfar Chabad, receiving semicha from Rabbi Yisroel Jacobson.
He previously lived in Clifton, NJ and Silver Spring, MD, and worked as a senior accountant for the US Dept of Defense. Known to his friends a “Jack”, he was known as a masmid in learning and a baal tzedaka.
Yaakov is survived by his wife, Rosaly Kleinman, children Shaindee Rosenblat (Crown Heights), Leah Neubort (Fair Lawn, NJ), Ari Kleinman (Atlanta, GA), and Chaiky Nagel (Los Angeles, CA), and siblings Gary and Yolanda.
The Levaya will take place on Monday, the 5th of Shavat, 3pm graveside, at Riverside Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ.
