Rabbi Krinsky Releases Statement On 770 Vandalism
Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, the Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and Machne Israel, secretary of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, and director of the Kehot Publication Society, has released a statement on the horrific vandalism of 770 Monday night.
The Chabad-Lubavitch community is pained by the vandalism of a group of young agitators who damaged the synagogue below Chabad Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway Monday night.
These odious actions will be investigated, and the sanctity of the synagogue will be restored. Our thanks to the NYPD for their professionalism and sensitivity.
We are grateful for the outpouring of concern, and for the support of our Chabad-Lubavitch institutions around the world.

As one of the bochurim, I believe we did right in expanding 770. We brought the Rebbe’s 1988 vision to life, addressing urgent space and aesthetic needs. Faced with 30 years of inaction, we chose bold action over bureaucracy, prioritizing our community’s needs and honoring the Rebbe’s legacy, breaking through barriers of stagnation and red tape.

Dear Bochur, Suppose YOUR house needs expansion. It is too small for your family.

Well guess what, it is the House of Chabad. It is MY house. Stay out of my house! Break the wall of your family house, but keep away from my house.

Congratulations. People tried to be nice and ignored the problem. Now everyone is saying enough is enough with you tzfatim and maybe 770 will finally go to control of Aguch and be made great again

This is absolutely disgusting behavior by bochurim and a big chillul Hashem. If you’re so interested in expanding the shul, it should be through the proper channels. You’ve only caused damage to the building and desecrated a historic landmark.
