by CrownHeights.info
Thirteen new NYPD officers starting their careers in the 71st Precinct were given a tour of 770 Eastern Parkway and the WLCC room as part of an acclimation visit giving the new officers an understanding of the community they will be serving.
They were greeted in 770 by Rabbi Yonaton Hackner, who introduced them to the workings of the WLCC room. Also at there with the officers were Rabbi Chaim Boruch Halberstam who takes care of the main 770 building, and Rabbi Yossi Rapp of ChabadAir.
Rabbi Rapp met the new officers to explain the unique needs of the Crown Heights Jewish community, including Jewish sensitivities, holidays, and customs.
