Chabad Security Force In Lod Gets Licensed, Looks To Provide Their Services To Shuls Countrywide

by CrownHeights.info

Lubavitcher Chaim Mitnitzky, one of the founders of Shmira Bitachon of Lod, Eretz Yisroel took the initiative following the terror attack of October 7th to provide security for vulnerable Shuls throughout the country, by arming the members of the shuls.

“We have been working to secure communities throughout Israel emphasizing on synagogues that are vulnerable,” Mitnitzky told CrownHeights.info.

That’s easier said than done, with Israel’s strict rules on gun ownership making it difficult without hiring a security company. The solution, become a security company yourself.

Joining a core group of Chabad Anash in Lod, Mitnitzky joined in filing to create a non-profit security company which hires the members of the shuls they belong to, enabling for every Shul to have their own armed guard without the enormous cost.

The group, which has been active in Lod, has the blessing of the Rabbi of the Chabad community in Lod, Rabbi Baruch Boaz Yurkovich Shlita.

Now with the success in Lod, they plan to expand beyond their city, providing a chance for every Shul to have their own security team.
