New Single ‘One in Our Hearts’ Dedicated to Israel

A passionate call for hope, peace and unity is presented in a new song released by singer-songwriter Duvy Burston in response to the brutal attack against Israel on October 7 and the rise of anti-semitism across the globe.

“I want my brothers and sisters everywhere to hear this song and find hope, comfort and strength,” says the NY based singer. “This song is for every person, within Israel and across the world, whose heart weeps at the suffering wrought on October 7.”

Burston dedicates this song to the everlasting continuity of the Jewish nation and the strength of the Land of Israel. With fervent prayers for the immediate return of every hostage, for the safety of the IDF soldiers, for the wounded to be healed and the mourners comforted. In memory of the over 1,200 innocent victims murdered by Hamas terrorists.

The song alludes to the extreme rise of anti-semitism on social media, college campuses, and around the world – “they shout it in the streets” – followed by a powerful bridge that testifies to the strength and perseverance of the Jewish people who “don’t wither with the wind” and “glow brighter in the darkness.”

The chorus is a powerful call for unity with the confident promise that “our enemy’s brittle walls will crumble into ruins as their banners fall.” Burston reveals the source of his conviction; his faith in divine providence – “Wherever we are G-d is forever with us.”

Musically, the track features lush live string sections interwoven with silky vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar, and cinematic percussion. Burston’s delicate but sincere vocal delivery possesses a storyteller quality that expresses deep emotion and passion, striking a delicate balance between anguish and optimism, between pain and inspiration.

Duvy Burston, age 21, is a son of Pesach and Chana Burston, Chabad Shluchim to Orange County, NY. He studied music in Los Angeles and is currently in the process of recording several new singles to be released in the near future.

“One in Our Hearts” is available on all streaming platforms.
