New Photo Collection: The Rebbe at Siddur Kiddushin
In honor of Yud Daled Kislev, 95th anniversary of the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s wedding, a new series of pictures, several never before seen, is being published by JEM.
These pictures, spanning the years 5710-5722, capture the rare moments of the Rebbe being Mesader Kiddushin at various weddings of Chassidim.
The original negatives of these pictures were recently donated to JEM by Mr. Simon Zimerman. Zimmerman, has a special affinity for pictures of notable Jewish leaders. Amongst the photos in his collection are some twenty pictures of the Rebbe at weddings and Lag Ba’Omer parades.
We are grateful to Simon Zimerman for bringing this rare collection to our possession, and to Rabbis Mendel Gourarie, Motti Hazan, Berel Grossbaum and Memkeh Schmukler of the JEM team for facilitating its publication in honor of the joyous day of Yud Daled Kislev.
