While on their recent trip to Southern Israel, at an army base, edging the Gaza border, Mimi and Shmuli Kopfstein were approached by the Shluchim who were hosting a bbq for thousands of soldiers with a beautiful initiative.
TO GIVE A CHITAS CARD TO EVERY SOLDIER!!
The Rebbe spoke often of the power of saying Chitas daily.
During a farbrengen the Rebbe said, “The Tzemach Tzedek said to my father in law’s grandfather the Rebbe Maharash, that the verse says “Chitas Elokim — fear of G-d fell upon the cities, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.”
My father in law ( The Freideker Rebbe) then said and it has also been printed that Chitas, elicits Gods protection in many areas of life.”
These chitas cards contain the entire Chumash, Tehillim, Tanya and Tefillas Haderech on a microfilm.
The Chitas cards have the option to be worn as a necklace, together with all the soldiers important documents,
or as a small card with a photo of the Rebbe and Tefillas Haderech, which can be easily stored in one of their many pockets.
At a time when the need is endless and everyone is raising, giving and doing whatever they can…
