In a surprise move that shows the unity sweeping through the Jewish community, the Crown Heights Bais Din released an uncommon letter encouraging a massive rally planned for November 14th in Washington DC.

“National Jewish organizations are calling on Jews throughout the United States to travel to Washington, DC, on Tuesday, Rosh Chodesh Kislev (Nov. 14) for a mass rally of Americans Marching to Support Eretz Yisroel, Free Hostages and Against Antisemitism, organized by two major Jewish organizations (the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations),” the Bais Din wrote. “Considering the current precarious situation of our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel, as well the strong hostility from some circles to the continued support of the United States government for the Jewish People, we believe it is important to inform the community about this important rally.”

The rally has already seen incredible support across all Jewish communities with Yeshiva University cancelling classes so that the students could travel to participate.

The Israel on Campus Coalition (ICC) also stepped in, offering $250 for college students to attend the rally expected to be one of the largest pro-Israel rallies in history.

“There’s no doubt that a large turnout at this event will have a strong impact,” the Bais Din noted in the letter. “This rally is being worked on by multiple parties who naturally have diverse views in a broad range of issues, but they are all standing united for the cause, as Americans who are in full support of these goals.”

The need for unity and accommodations has already been seen from the organizations running the rally who have confirmed that there will be a general commitment to halachic standards.

“In addition to the ongoing tefillos and ma’asim tovim, this is an important keli b’derech hateva to bring about the proper yeshuah,” the Bais Din finished off their letter with. “May we merit to usher in the ultimate yeshuah, the true Geulah now.”
