The Kavanah Space/Chabad Loft Presents a Masterpiece of Unity
The Kavanah Space – Chabad Loft, renowned for its endeavors in spiritual enlightenment and community connection, has joined forces with celebrated Ukrainian artist David Roytman to construct a Sukkah like no other. This sacred space isn’t just a feast for the eyes; it’s a call to action. Erected at Union Square, the Sukkah will serve as a beacon of hope, unity, and charity, spotlighting the plight of the Jewish people in Ukraine. The same exact sukkah with same dimensions and artwork has been erected at city center of Odessa, Ukraine in conjunction with Chabad of Ukraine.
David Roytman, the Ukrainian virtuoso behind the masterpiece, infuses a rich tapestry of art and spirituality into this Sukkah. In the heart of the bustling city, it offers a sanctuary of peace, not just for the Jewish community, but for all New Yorkers. As Roytman once mused, “Art is the vehicle of the soul, a passport that crosses borders.”
In orchestrating this miraculous merger of art and divinity, the Kavanah Space – Chabad Loft underscores its commitment to creating impactful, soulful spaces. “When you blend art with purpose, you don’t just create a spectacle; you create a movement,” says Rabbi Yakov Bankhalter, of the Kavanah Space – Chabad Loft.
