Friendship Circle Brooklyn Announces Amazing News, They will Soon Have Permanent Home At The Crossroads of Crown Heights
by CrownHeights.info
After over two decades of Friendship Circle of Brooklyn being in operation, with offices hosted by the Jewish Children’s Museum and renting various spaces for our ongoing programs and initiatives, Rabbi Berel and Chani Majesky have taken a giant leap forward and signed on a building to be the Friendship Circle’s permanent home.
“With gratitude to Hashem, and to the Rebbe for His incredible Brochos, we are thrilled to share that we have signed a contract to purchase a future home and community center for Friendship Circle of Brooklyn,” the Majesky’s wrote. “Strategically located at the crossroads of traditional Crown Heights, and the rapidly growing communities of East Flatbush and Remsen Village, our new 6000 sq. ft. property with indoor and outdoor space will enable us to continue serving over 250 local families raising individuals with special needs. Additionally, it will act as a community center for their extended families, our rapidly growing volunteer base, and the broader community.”
While signing the contract marks just the first step in this journey, the Majesky’s vision goes far beyond the one floor currently on the lot.
“With a buildable square footage of over 30,000 sq. ft., this location will allow us to build a befitting center that caters to the unique needs of our community,” they wrote.
“As we embark on this journey, we are humbled by the unwavering dedication of our board of directors,” they said. “Their passion and commitment have been the driving force behind reaching this dream.”

WOW WOW WOW. FINALLY a building going up in the Shechuna to serve the Shechuna instead of bringing in more Goyishe tenants. We need more community institutions rather than developers. We wish you much Bracha.

Long time homeowners don’t want it.
