Translation:
Dear friends!
Please accept my heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah.
This holiday, which opens a new year according to the Jewish calendar, calls for repentance, gives joy and good hope, serves to foster moral values and strengthens in the hearts the aspiration to the sublime ideals of kindness and mercy.
It is gratifying that the Jews of Russia, who are faithful to their ancient tradition, make a significant contribution to maintaining the cultural diversity of our country, do a lot in the field of education and thereby help harmony between the peoples in our society.
In the hundreds of Jewish communities scattered throughout Russia, many preparations were completed for the reception of thousands of Jews, for the prayers and feasts of the holiday, as a continuation of the annual and multifaceted activities throughout the entire year.
