Turkish Newspaper Quotes Cypriot Official, Makes Wild Claims on Chabad

The Jewish conspiracy theory has taken another rather surprising and wild turn as an Cypriot official was quoted as having claimed that Chabad spies for the Mossad and works with the Mafia.

“After the withdrawal of Rauf Denktaş and the election of Mehmet Ali Talat in the 2008 elections, the political activity of Chabad in Nothern Cyprus began,” the official was quoted by the Millî Gazete as having said. “In a short time, they established more than a hundred companies. Lawyers and builders began to buy plots of land through them. A bank was also established during the pandemic period. They make money transfers through this bank.”

The conspiracy, published by the Islamist affiliated article, was a front page feature, and went as wild as to claim that Chabad supports the LGBT movement.

“Chabad is working with the mafia,” the official allegedly said, claiming that he was told he could be killed if he attempted to stop them. “They don’t have any permissions. I struggled with this, but the police warned me and said that I might even be killed.”

The article also accused the Chassidic movement of spying for the Israeli Mossad, buying up land near military bases to collect and transfer information to the Israeli intelligence apparatus.

“Chabad commits many crimes. They launder money and leak information to Mossad. They decipher all military points. They are buying land near military areas,” the official stated.

The accusations have caused hilarity in Israeli media, who find the accusation of the alleged support for LGBT rather ludicrous and entertaining.
