A Bone Marrow Transplant Averted After Posul Mezuzah Found

Lubavitcher Yosef Potash posted the following miracle story on social media, celebrating the incredible episode of his son, scheduled for a bone marrow transplant, and how it was averted after checking a mezuzah.

My 11 year old son שמעון was due to have a bone marrow transplant beginning on Thursday next week. As is the custom in a time of need, I had our tefillin and mezuzos checked.

The front door mezuzah was completely possul (see pic). Obviously I replaced it with a kosher and mehudar one. Next we asked the doctor to re-test to be 100% certain that the transplant was necessary.

To our surprise, the doctor agreed.

Early yesterday morning my son had the test and a few hours later the hospital called us to arrange an emergency meeting. They informed us that based on the results of the test, they changed their opinion. The transplant is NOT NEEDED and has been CANCELLED.

What a miracle!

Please take note of the correlation between the word שמע and the name שמעון.
