While on a visit to Newfoundland, where they are delving into their family’s roots, the Matriarch of the Wilansky family was honored with the firing of a ceremonial gun. Before pulling the firing cable, Rabbi Wilansky took a minute to blow the shofar in a location that could be heard by all.
