Historic Tanya Printing at Boston Logan International Airport

by CrownHeights.info

In nearly every corner of the globe, a Sefer Tanya has been printed. Now, one of the major transport hubs across the world now has its own Tanya, #7979.

Dedicated by the Weinberger family in memory of Shmuel Hershel Weinberger OBM, whose second yartzeit is Hey Menachem Av, the Yartzeit of the Holy Arizal, ChabadAir hosted the historic Tanya printing at Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts. ChabadAir is run by Rabbi Yossi Rapp and has locations in multiple major airports including JFK in New York City, Miami International Airport in Miami, and Logan Airport in Boston.

According to the Rebbe’s directive, each Tanya printed in a unique location was given a separate “serial number”, with Logan Airport being tagged with the number #7979.

After the printing was completed, the new sefer was studied from and a small event held with airport officials and travelers.
