RCCS, A Letter from From Rabbi Moshe Klein

Dear Chabad Community,

With the help of Hashem, Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society (RCCS) is launching a 36-hour campaign which last year BH raised over $2,000,000 and hopes to increase this year. In just the past 12 months, RCCS has been assisting 100 patients in our very own Crown Heights community, requiring a budget of over $500,000. In addition, many Shluchim and their communities worldwide are benefiting from the lifesaving work of RCCS. Please join me in showing your generous support to this vital organization and all they do for our community.

I am writing to you about a cause that is close to all our hearts: the fight against the bitter Machlah. We all know someone who has been affected by this relentless disease Lo Aleinu, and it is our collective responsibility Bezras Hashem to ensure that every cancer patient has access to the best lifesaving, cutting-edge care.

That’s where RCCS (Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society) comes in. RCCS is an organization dedicated to providing vital support and assistance to cancer patients within our community. Their mission is to ensure that no one is left without the necessary resources, treatments, and support they need to battle cancer with hope and Kavod.

Through their tireless efforts, RCCS has transformed countless lives, offering financial aid, medical guidance, second opinions, and even access to world-renowned medical specialists. They have become a beacon of hope for cancer patients and their families, ensuring that no one faces this battle alone.

But, as we are all aware, RCCS cannot do it alone. They need the community’s support to continue their life-saving work. By supporting RCCS, you are directly impacting the lives of cancer patients in our community, giving them a fighting chance and the hope, they deserve.

I have been volunteering for RCCS for many years on their applications committee, reviewing cases from the Chabad community all over the world. I have seen firsthand the unbelievable work that they are involved in daily. Over the years, I have been involved with hundreds of cancer patients here in Crown Heights as well as with Shluchim and their communities worldwide. We deal with each case, we provide advocacy, we provide financial backing, and we provide emotional support from the very first vital days and all along the journey, no matter what. We make sure the members of our community are not dealing with this dreadful machalah alone. Boruch Hashem I have been witness to many Nissim working with this organization.

Now RCCS needs you, so that they can continue their lifesaving services in our community. Let us stand united as a community, displaying our unwavering commitment to the well-being of our fellow members. Together, we can ensure that no cancer patient is left without the resources and care they need to fight this battle.
