by CrownHeights.info
A select group from Pittsburgh, PA made a whirlwind visit to the Rebbe and Crown Heights on Erev Gimmel Tammuz. The group from the newer Greenfield community in Pittsburgh together with members of the greater Pittsburgh community, made a special Hakhel trip to the Rebbe. Men, women and children of all ages and many backgrounds made a 26 hour whirlwind trip. It was a trip designed to live and experience, to see, hear and learn, in order for the children to grow in the ways of the Rebbe and Chabad.
The first stop was to the Rebbe at the Ohel, after a wholesome breakfast the group continued to the Rebbe’s Room in 770, then to the Rebbe’s Library, before culminating their visit at the Rebbe’s Home on President Street.
Organized by Rabbis Elchonon Friedman and Eli Wilansky of Bnai Emunoh-Chabad, the group hired a charter bus to travel to New York City where they made their first stop at the Ohel of the Rebbe in Cambria Heights, Queens. From there the group made their way to Crown Heights where they visited the Rebbe’s room in 770, the Rebbe’s Library, and completing their visit davening Mincha at the Rebbe’s House on President Street.
After an inspiring day, the group returned to Pittsburgh, stopping briefly to enjoy platters of Sushi as those that traveled to the Rebbe internalized their visit.
