Montana’s Family of Shluchim Gather for Three-Day Kinus

The Shluchim and Shluchos of Montana, Big Sky Country, along with their Kinderlach, gathered for a three-day Kinus in Bozeman at the newly built Chabad Lubavitch Center for Jewish Life and Learning.

With counselors Chaya Baitelman and Chaya Schapiro running a day camp for the children, and the incredible help of Chaya and Zeesy Bruk to ensure that everything runs smoothly, the children had three packed days of fun and friendship, giving their parents an opportunity to rejuvenate and learn, while basking in the Rebbe’s holy guidance and Shlichus world view.

While many hours were spent with the Shluchim Farbrenging amongst themselves and the Shluchos spending quality time together, they also merited to hear powerful words from Rabbi Eliyahu and Dena Schusterman who joined the Kinus from Atlanta, Georgia, Rabbi Mordechai Farkash who joined from Bellevue, Washington, Rabbi Shea Hecht who joined from Orange, Connecticut, and Rabbi Mendel Lipskier who joined from Sherman Oaks, California.

The Shluchim, Rabbi Chaim and Chavie Bruk of Bozeman, Rabbi Chezky and Rochie Vogel of Missoula, Rabbi Shneur and Chana Wolf of Kalispell and Rabbi Shaul and Mushky Shkedi of Billings, all serve in communities with smaller Jewish populations and were grateful to still have their very own Kinus with the amenities usually reserved for big cities. Having renowned chef Noah Lang from Miami prepare all the tasty meals was a bonus, giving the Shluchos a few days of respite, not having to worry about cooking all the meals.

“Hakhel is an opportune time for Chassidim to gather as one person with one heart. Focusing on the growth of our Shlichus and brainstorming ways that we can work with each other as colleagues, while learning from each other, sharing in our successes and challenges, is really special and somewhat unique” said Rabbi Chaim Bruk, Head Shliach and regional director of Chabad Lubavitch of Montana, “I hope we have more chances to gather with true Achdus in the future”, he said.
