Kinus ‘Bruchim Haboim’ for the Tishrei Guests

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – Monday evening a Kinus a ‘Bruchim Ha’boim’ welcoming all the guests from the world over, that came to spend Tishrei in the Rebbe’s court, the event was organized by the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim.

R. Chaim Shaul Brook emceed the evening, which he opened up with telling those gathered about the custom to write in to the Rebbe expressing their desire to come spend Tishrei close to the Rebbe. The Rebbe would answer to Shluchim that their condition was that by them coming there will be no reduction in their place of Shlichus due to their absence, and that upon their return they would use what the saw and heard to be Mashpia on the Shlichus. For Bochurim the Rebbe responded that only with the permission of the Hanhalah can they come, and they must behave in accordance their Hanhalah demands of them. One other condition added to both was that visitors should visit the Ohel.

A full and beautiful program included speakers Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshivah in Miami Beach. Rabbi Yoel Kahn, the Rebbe’s Choizer, Welcoming greetings from Rabbi Shlomo Segal, a member of the Badatz of Crown Heights. And a special Guest Speaker, Rabbi Mendel Groner from Yeshivah Tomchei Tmimim in Kiryat Gat, Israel.

The speakers addressed the Bochurim, preparing them for Rosh Hashana and will share memories and inspiration, thereby conveying the meaning of spending Tishrei in the Rebbe’s daled amos. A rare collection of video clips of the Rebbe during Tishrei was shown, with a special thanks to JEM.
