68th Nshei Ubnos Chabad Annual Convention Announces Theme “Coming Home”

Nshei Chabad is the sole women’s organization established by the Rebbe, right at the beginning of the Rebbe’s nesius. Very close to the Rebbe’s heart, the annual convention was held in the spring in particular. At the Rebbe’s initiative, It was scheduled to coincide with Shabbos Mevorchim [Sivan].

The Rebbe was involved in every detail. The organizers would present several themes to the Rebbe, who would then select one. Once he even suggested a theme that wasn’t on the list. He would review the program and make suggestions. He wanted to hear the resolutions.

The Rebbe would sent letters to each year’s convention, with the highlight of each beautiful convention being the Rebbe addressing the women in the men’s shul. Some years the Rebbe would give dollars to delegates to distribute. In the early years women were given the opportunity to approach the Rebbe after his address and present their personal requests

This year, the theme of the convention will be “Coming Home”, with the convention taking place from Thursday, May 18th to Sunday, May 21st in Crown Heights.
