BDE: Rabbi Yona Pruss, 59, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Yona Pruss OBM, a native of Crown Heights and member of the Chabad community in London, England. He passed away on Thursday, the 20th of Iyar, 5783.

He was 59 years old.

Raised in Crown Heights, Rabbi Pruss spent time as a Shliach in Dnipro, Ukraine before moving to London, England, where he taught Torah classes.

He is survived by his wife Chana and their children: Mrs. Sarale Notik, Mrs. Mushka Druk, Mrs. Baila Goldstein, Rabbi Mendy Pruss, Rabbi Yitzchok Pruss, Tzviki Pruss, Schneor Pruss, Koppel Pruss, Chasya Pruss, and Leah Pruss.

He is also survived by his father Rabbi Shmarya Pruss (Crown Heights) and his siblings Rabbi Yitzchak Pruss (Crown Heights), Mrs. Henya Greenberg (Los Angeles, CA), Zalman Pruss, and Chani Vogel of Monsey, NY.
