BDE: Rabbi Akiva Gershon Wagner, 55, OBM

With great sadness we report the untimely passing of Rabbi Akiva Gershon Wagner OBM, the Rosh Yeshiva of the Lubavitch Yeshiva in Toronto, Canada. He passed away on Monday, the 17th of Iyar, 5783 following an extended illness.

He was 55 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Rochie (nee Labkowsky), and their children; Rabbi Yitzchok Wagner (Richmond, CA), Mrs. Itty Leiberman (Toronto, Canada), Rabbi Mendy Wagner (Toronto, Canada), Menachem, Yisroel, Mushkie, Dovi, Nossi, Goldie, Shmuli, Levi, and Avremi.

The levaya will take place today, Monday, passing by 770 at approximately 3:00pm before continuing on to Old Montefiore Cemetery for Kevura at approximately 4:00pm.
