BDE: Rabbi Menashe Hadad, 72, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Rabbi Menashe Hadad, OBM, the famed director of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Eretz Hakodesh. He passed away on Shabbos, the 15th of Iyar, 5783.

He was 72 years old.

Rabbi Hadad was born in Tunis in 1950, and immigrated to Israel with his family when he was eight years old. The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, advised and guided him during the period from when he was a young man until he married.

After his marriage, Rabbi Hadad began working as an educator in the Chabad boys elementary school in Lod, and slowly worked his way up to the position of school principal, and from there he went on to become principal of yeshivas.

He is survived by his wife and children; Rabbi Avraham Hadad (Israel), Rabbi Levi Hadad (Crown Heights), Rabbi David Hadad (Thailand), Rabbi Moshe Hadad (Thailand), Rabbi Shmuel Hadad (Ashkelon, Israel), Rabbi Shalom Ber Hadad (Israel), Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hadad, Rabbi Yisrael Hadad (Har Chabad, Israel), Mrs. Chana Aryeh (Israel), Mrs. Devoarah Leah Zana (France), Mrs. Rivka Ahron (Tel Aviv, Israel), Mrs. Esther Hadad (Rishon Ltzion, Israel), and Mrs. Chaya Mushka Yifrach (Kfar CVhabad, Israel).

The Levaya will take place tonight in Eretz Yisroel.
