Shliach Invited to Buckingham Palace As The United Kingdom Prepares To Coronate King Charles III

As the Jewish communities of the British commonwealth prepare for the coronation of King Charles III this weekend, Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis KBE has prepared a prayer to be recited in Shul’s this Shabbos.

Ahead of the celebrations this weekend, Chief Minister of the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation and community Rabbi Yossi and Rachel Jacobs were invited to Buckingham Palace for the coronation tea party on Wednesday 3rd May.

Rabbi Jacobs and his Rebbetzen who are Shluchim in Birmingham England have serve the 166 year old Singers Hill Shul which is the Midlands oldest and largest congregation.

Rabbi Jacobs had the opportunity to speak to King Charles and told the King that we would all be praying for him on the day of his coronation.

The King joked that they had picked the wrong day with it being a Shabbos!!

The Jacobs were invited to the palace back in 2012 for Queen Elizabeth II jubilee celebrations when they met and spoke to Princes Kate.
