Three-Day Kinus Uplifts Young Shluchim From All Across Asia
The Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim Asia, organized by MyShliach, was a resounding success, bringing together 150 young Shluchim from all over Asia. The three-day camp, held in Bangkok, Thailand, was a refreshing change for the children, who rarely have the opportunity to meet with fellow Shluchim throughout the year.
“The Rebbe spent countless hours speaking directly to the Children,” said Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and entrusted by the Rebbe with facilitating regional Kinusim worldwide. “It’s essential that we focus our attention on their physical and spiritual wellbeing. These Kinusim, especially in a year of Hakhel, give them a sense of community, imbuing them with the strength to continue their unique Shlichusin with joy and enthusiasm.”
The three-day program began with an opening ceremony, where the children who hailed from 9 different Asian countries, including Thailand, India, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea, got to know each other. Next, the young Shluchim were divided into bunks and given special camp shirts. From there, the fun began with Camp Action, an exciting amusement park with thrilling rides and challenging obstacle courses. Throughout the camp, the young Shluchim attended engaging Shiurim on various topics, including Chassidus, Jewish history, and halacha. They also participated in various bunk activities and competitions, encouraging them to work together, learn new Chassidishe concepts and build friendships with their fellow Shluchim.
One of the highlights of the program was the trip to Harbor Land, where the children had the chance to explore and have fun in a state-of-the-art amusement park.
The three days program culminated in an uplifting closing ceremony, where the children came together to sing, dance, and celebrate all they had accomplished during their time at the MyShliach camp and draw energy for their unique role as Shluchim.
The banquet, held at the Chabad House Bangkok, was a grand affair, with the young Shliach Yossi Wilhelm from Bangkok, Thailand, uplifting the crowd with encouraging words of inspiration.
Parents of the young Shluchim expressed their gratitude to the dedicated Chassidishe staff members who took care of the young Shluchim and Shluchos, ensuring they had the time of their lives. “The girls had an extraordinary experience filled with a lot of learning and great fun and joy that will accompany them for a long time to come,” said Mrs. Nechama Hadad, Shlucha in Bangkok.
In conclusion, the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim Asia was an unforgettable experience for all who participated, leaving a lasting impact on its participants. The Chassidishe and supportive environment allowed the young Shluchim to connect and learn about their Shlichus while having fun.
The Kinus was made possible through the efforts of local Shluchim Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, Rabbi David Hadad, and Rabbi Yossi Goldberg.
