Joey Newcomb Announced as Singer for This Year’s Lag B’Omer Parade

It’s that time of year again. The Pesach dishes have been put away, and all of the children are back in school.

Excitement can be felt in the air. Lag B’Omer is swiftly approaching, and there is one thing on everyone’s mind: The Lag B’Omer Parade!

In the Hakhel year of 5748 (1988), the Rebbe surprised everyone with strong encouragement for the legendary Parade to take place, even though Lag B’Omer didn’t fall out on a Sunday. The Rebbe emphasized that since it was the year of Hakhel, it was essential for Yidden to gather together for this incredible event.

Inspired by the Rebbe’s directive, the NCFJE has been hard at work planning The Hakhel Great Lag B’Omer Parade of 5783, offering a full day of fun for the entire family. Its legendary marching bands and musical accompaniment will be followed by a grand carnival and street fair, with magic shows and entertainment for children of all ages! The streets will be filled with joyous music to enhance the chayus of the special day, starring renowned singer, Joey/Yosef Newcomb!

Joey Newcomb’s popular song, Thank You Hashem, from his debut album “To Be a Yid,” became the biggest hit in Jewish music when it went viral in 2019. Since then, Joey’s songs have uplifted and inspired children and adults throughout the world. He’s created dozens of music videos and amassed a following of tens of thousands of subscribers in just a few years! Joey’s goal is to spread the fire of Yiddishkeit, to bring simcha to Yidden and inspire them through the power of a niggun.

In Joey’s words, “It’s been an amazing opportunity to be able to Farbreng with all types of audiences.… and to be able to put a smile on peoples faces through Mili Dishtusa around the world.”

We can’t wait to join Joey as he performs at the most incredible Lag B’Omer Parade yet!
