Israeli Aliyah and Integration Minister Visits 770 and the Ohel
Aliyah and Integration Minister Ofir Sofer (Religious Zionism) on Sunday night landed in New York, heading off a trip to meet important figures in Brooklyn’s Jewish community.
The trip began with a visit to the “Ohel,” the grave of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and his father-in-law Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak Schneersohn, the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe. There, Sofer prayed for his trip to be successful.
Later in the day, Sofer visited “770,” the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch headquarters located in Brooklyn, New York. There, he toured with Rabbi David Nachshon, who heads Chabad’s mobile units in Israel.
