Shidduch House completes Shidduch Course

For six weeks the Shidduch House has been the classroom setting for an in-depth course for the shadchanim given by Rabbi Dr. Yossi Ives. These weekly classes covered an array of psychological insights and practical guidance from the dating expert and author of two books on coaching psychology.  There are many reasons a single might be stuck, and, during the course, many scenarios and situations were studied and explored. For many singles, the process goes smoothly and to plan, but there is a percentage of singles that really need self awareness as to why they may be struggling and require help to get past it.

“We are setting up tons of couples on dates but we are seeing a lot of singles struggling. We now have better tools and understanding to navigate and give advice to the couples that are dating in order to help them gain clarity”, said a shadchan who completed the course.

“ I have learned so much new and valuable information that will help me when setting up singles”, said another. “I now have a much better understanding  about the complexities of different types of people and the ability to address these issues and help the singles move forward.”

The classes were both informative and interesting. A handbook especially prepared for this occasion accompanied the course and the chapters were covered and discussed thoroughly. The Shidduch House Shadchanim proudly received their certificates of completion at the end of the course.

The Shidduch House opened with the goal of assisting in the Shidduch process in any way possible. This course was one of many educational events that have taken place over the last year.
