“I Also Grew Up in Crown Heights, I Was Also A Yeshiva Bocher, I Will Also Get A Letter in the Sefer Torah”

The story begins about three months ago when the Bochurim of Shiur Alef and Beis of Oholei Torah went as usual on Friday afternoons to the Holocaust Museum in Manhattan. There they give the museum workers the special merit of putting on tefillin.

This time though, they were in for a surprise.

The president of the museum, Mr. Jack Kliger, noticed the boys. He stood up, shook their hands, removed his suit pin, and said, “I too was a Bocher in Yeshiva when I was young, I too grew up in Crown Heights, on Montgomery Street. This pin from my work rank is for you.”

Since then, a friendship has developed, between the Bochurim and the president, and this week the president purchased a letter in a Sefer Torah.
