“Fly Free”: Yud Shvat Hakhel Event for Kids
Fly Free, a Yud Shvat Hakhel event for kids, created by the Moshiach Office at Merkos 302, is now available to all. A wrap-up of the Tut Altz Kids Curriculum- Learn With Geulah Now!- Segment #6- Get Out of Golus, the event aims to teach kids the importance of living with a Geulah’dik mindset and how the Nasi Hador can guide them to overcome obstacles and limitations.
“The Rebbe is like a beacon of light, illuminating the path to living a Geulah’dik life,” Rabbi Shlomie Naparstek, director of the Moshiach Office at Merkos 302. “The event looks back at Yetzias Mizrayim when we became Avadim to Hashem – true freedom. The Rebbe guides us on how to experience Yetziyas Mitzrayim every day and live a Geulah lifestyle,” he added.
The event is MCed by Rabbi Mendel Lerman and lasts for 45 minutes. It includes a game segment of breaking logic puzzles, and a Passport out of Mitzrayim game, aimed at teaching kids the difference between the Golus and Geulah ways of thinking. The children were captivated by the stories of guest speaker Rabbi Eli Estrin, Chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve, and entertained by the Jewish Juggler, illustrating the messages of living with a Geulah’dik mindset in an engaging manner. To make the experience more personal, teachers can send photos of their students viewing the event to be featured in the rally and enter into a raffle to win special Tut Altz prizes.
“The Rebbe invested countless hours speaking directly to children,” said Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch. “This event is a great opportunity for kids to learn more about what potential the Rebbe saw in them and how they can apply it to their lives.”
