New MyShliach MBP Season Launches with Daily Challenges and Exciting Prizes
Shluchim worldwide are getting ready to dive into the latest season of MyShliach’s Mishnayos Baal Peh, starting on Yud Shevat. The program has successfully inspired hundreds of young shluchim worldwide to memorize Tanya and Mishnayos in their free time and is relaunching with a new twist.
“My kids jumped right in!” exclaimed Rabbi Sender Geisinsky of Bethesda, MD. “They are so excited when the new MBP season begins, and right away, they are busy learning and testing each other. The hour-long commute to school each day has become a valuable learning opportunity, with the kids spending their time studying in the car.”
The new season of MyShliach MBP, beginning on Yud Shevat, brings a new daily time challenge that motivates young Shluchim to increase their time spent on learning. The challenge starts small but gradually grows, rewarding the young Shluchim for their efforts and helping them grow in their learning. Participants will earn bonus MBP dollars for completing each daily challenge, which they can use to purchase prizes from the prize store. The new initiative is in line with MyShliach’s general focus on consistency in learning and effort instead of solely on the amount of Mishnayos memorized.
MyShliach’s Mishnayos Ba’al Peh began four years ago to allow shluchim’s kids to have a framework that encourages them to memorize Mishnayos and Tanya by heart. Called L’taher Es Haolom Initiative, the program has grown by leaps and bounds. It now has over 500 young shluchim worldwide actively purifying the air in their respective cities. Each with their own account on the online platform, the children keep track of what they have accomplished by logging their hours and amount of lines learned. After accumulating enough points, the kids can choose from an exciting array of prizes in the prize store from Seforim to games.
“Our biggest problem is that we have to buy new bookshelves for all the seforim our kids are getting for their Mishnayos baal peh. It truly brings us so much nachas and I’m sure brings the Rebbe immense nachas as well,” added Rabbi Geisinsky.
The program’s focus on effort and time invested by the Young Shluchim allows everyone to be included and recognized regardless of skill level. “The program brings out the best in each of my kids, even the ones not as good at memorizing because it is also tracked by time and not by the number of lines you come out with,” said Mrs. Shaina Jacobson of Punta Gorda, Florida.
Mrs. Sheva Stolik, from Pasadena, CA, notes the effect of the Mishnayos Baal Peh program. “Before my boys would go to sleep, they would ask to please study Tanya. It creates a wonderful environment in our home.”
“Seeing the results and success of this program has really been remarkable,” said Rabbi Zalmy Weingarten, director of MyShliach MBP. “We have kids who keep coming back season after season on their own accord, as they enjoy the learning and the prizes as well.”
“One of the first initiatives launched by the Friediker Rebbe in America was the Mishnayos Baal Peh program,” said Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch. “The power of Mishnayos to affect the world was of utmost importance then, how much more so today. The Torah memorized by the young Shluchim is surely storming the heavens and bringing us closer to the Geulah.”
