Young Shluchos Celebrate Chanukah Together
After spending the first few days of Chanukah home with their families, 100 young Shluchos from all over the US converged to beautiful Glendale, California, this week for the annual Tzeirei Hashluchos West Coast Winter Camp in partnership with MyShliach.
With the camp taking place during Chanukah, every night, the young Shluchos do another fun Chanukah activity in line with the camp’s theme of igniting your own flame so that you can kindle others.
The girls participated in various fun Chanukah activities such as donut decorating, making their own Latkes, and an epic “Gelt Drop.”
The girls had “Color War” this week with the teams of Zechus: Merit and Achrayus: Responsibility, expressing their themes with original songs and skits, all made by the campers themselves.
Every night the girls gather together for a beautiful Menorah lighting, with everyone singing Haneiros Halalu in unison.
“There’s an incredibly warm atmosphere here as the girls spend Chanukah together with their extended Shluchos family,” said Rabbi Zalmy Kudan, director of the camp.
The Tzeirei Hashluchos West Coast Winter Camp is made possible through the generosity of Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky and Reb Shmulik Aizenberg.
