
BDE: Mrs. Nechama Lazar, 84, OBM
With great sadness we report the passing of Mrs. Nechama Lazar OBM, the matriarch of a large Lubavitch family and resident of Crown Heights. She passed away on the 1st day of Sukkos, the 15th of Tishrei, 5783.
She was 84 years old.
Nechama was the daughter of Harv Avrahom Boruch Pevzner, a survivor of the Russian prison who was became the choizer by both the Rebbe Rashab and Frierdiker Rebbe.
She is survived by her husband Yisroel Chaim Lazar, and children; Rabbi Yosef Yehuda Lazar (Palmdale, CA), Esther Raitport (Crown Heights), Rabbi Avrohom Boruch Lazar (Brooklyn, NY/Coral Sprigs, FL), Rabbi Levi Lazar (Pomona, NY), Dini Lazar (Crown Heights), and Rabbi Moishe Lazar (Pomona, NY), as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Fruma Junik.
She was predeceased by her siblings Harav Hillel Pevzner, Rabbi Itzik Pevzner and Mrs. Yehudis Raksin.
The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, 12:00pm at Shomrei Hadaas in Boro Park, and passing by 770 at approximately 1:00pm.
Shiva will take place after Yom Tov.
