New Sefer Torah Welcomed at Chabad of Playa del Carmen, Mexico
In a first for Playa del Carmen, Mexico, Chabad of Playa del Carmen celebrated its 13th anniversary with a New Sefer Torah Dedicated in Honor of the Rebbe’s 120 years.
Donated by The Sousana Family from Paris, France, the Sefer Torah will be used by the Chabad house in the resort town of Playa del Carmen led by the Rebbe’s Shliach Rabbi Mendel Goldberg.
The writing of the last letters took place in the Chabad house, after which the travelers and guests went out to the town streets for a parade in honor of new Sefer Torah.
At the end of the Parade, a magnificent banquet was held in the hall of the Chabad House.
