BDE: Harav Yisroel Halprin, 66, OBM

With great sadness we report the passing of Harav Yisroel (Ruli) Halprin OBM, the Shliach of the Rebbe to Hertzalya who expanded Chabad’s activities and and positively affected the lives of many. He passed away on Thursday, the 5th of Elul, 5782.

He was 66 years old.

Born in Netanya to a religious family, Ruli served his years in the military and drew closer to Chabad.

After marriage, he spend years learning in Kfar Chabad, where he got Smicha under the Rebbe’s direction. Later he moved with his family to Hertzalya where he began his Shlichus as a Rov in a local Shul and expanded Chabad’s activities.
