Online Smicha Talmidim Receive Smicha From Rabbi Schochet

Some of the Bochurim learning Smicha with Machon Lehoraa Online Smicha traveled at the end of the year for a special ceremony of receiving Smicha from Rabbi Dovid Schochet of Toronto.

This unique opportunity was made available by the head of the program, Rabbi Nachman Wilhelm, who has been teaching Smicha for many years. Rabbi Schochet is the main ordaining Rabbi for the Smicha program, and he wanted to attend the celebration in person and see the talmidim and speak to them.

Rabbi Schochet shared divrei torah with the talmidim, and emphasized the importance of learning Smicha, and how much it adds to one’s life when he knows how to break down Halacha and has the ability to get to the bottom of Halachic matters. After him the bochurim heard from Rabbi Nachman Wilhelm, head of the program, who encouraged them to continue with their learning in the fields of Halacha, retain the information and add more knowledge and understanding.
