Berlin’s Governing Mayor Invites Rabbi To The Traditional Courtyard Festival
Every summer Berlin celebrates the traditional Hoffest, hosted by the Governing Mayor of the capital in the courtyards of the Berlin state seat of government. For the first time, the Hoffest was hosted by the new Governing Mayor of Berlin Franziska Giffey:
Many guests, including leading personalities from politics, business, science, diplomacy, culture, media and sports attended the Governing Mayor’s reception.
Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, Rabbi of Berlin and Chairman of the Jewish community Chabad Berlin, attended the event and thanked the Governing Mayor for her support of Jewish life in Berlin.
In addition to the hostess Franziska Giffey, the rabbi exchanged views with many leading politicians such as the head of the Berlin SPD party, the head of the capital’s airport, the head of the Berlin Federal Agency disaster relief organization and many others.
