Mesivta Machon Aharon, A Chassidishe Trade School

After a successful first year, Mesivta Machon Aharon, directed and run by Rabbi Heshy Zeitlin, is accepting applications for the coming school year of 5783.

The Mesivta will be relocating to Kingston, PA, and opening a new work/study program. Geared for chassidishe bochurim who need to work with their hands in addition to learning shorter hours, the boys will be partnering with local skilled laborers as apprentices to learn their trades.

The morning at Machon Aharon starts with Mikva, chassidus, and davening, followed by shorter and more focused skills based lessons in Gemara and Halacha. The afternoon is divided into work hours where each student can choose the trade he’s interested in learning and works alongside a local resident in the area of his choice such as plumbing, electricity, culinary, and woodwork.

Following the work, the students have an hour and a half lesson of their choice that they can earn through participating and excelling at their morning shiurim and afternoon work hours. These include music lessons, computer programming classes, and MMA/Martial Arts. The evening is concluded with dinner, Mariv and Chassidus Erev.

Machon Aharon places a strong emphasis on individual responsibility and students that join have job rotations and learn to keep their living spaces neat, and help with setting up meals and cleaning after. We strive to create and maintain a warm homey atmosphere and will only be accepting 25 students. Each student is guided and mentored by the devoted staff with a very high staff to student ratio.

Yeshiva is accepting students applications at this point. Applicants need to be 14-17 years old.
