Tip From Active Surveillance Company Leads To Arrest Near Crown Heights

by CrownHeights.info

Construction sites are frequently the target of thieves looking for a good mark, as the tools left overnight tend to be worth a pretty penny. For that reason, construction sites are almost always monitored 24/7, usually by surveillance cameras.

It was Monitex Security, just such a surveillance company, that noticed a man climbing the wall of a construction site on the outskirts of Crown Heights, and made a call to a Crown Heights Shomrim volunteer.

911 was called and Shomrim responded to the site as the thief was on the premises.

When the NYPD arrived, they caught him still inside, and after a quick search, came out with him in handcuffs.

“A tip called in by Monitex security for a break in of an active construction site, results in one UNDER,” Shomrim wrote on Twitter. “Great collaboration between Monitex, our Volunteers and responding @NYPD67Pct.”
