Sefer Published 30 years After Author – A World renowned Sofer, Passes Away
The famous Sofer Rabbi Yaakov Silberman, ז״ל, from Montreal, (1921-1991) – renowned for his expertise in Safrus for over four and a half decades, wrote a Sefer Chiddush Sofrim that already received a Haskoma from Rabbi Moshe Feinstein ז״ל in 5740.
Although he passed away in 5751, the Sefer, filled with profound and scholarly insights and clarity regarding the Ksav of the Alter Rebbe, including how the overwhelming majority of Halachic Authorities follow the Alter Rebbe, was only published a year ago in 5781…
The Sefer and a Teshurah (memento) in English about the Sefer and the author, was distributed at the Bar Mitzvah of Yisroel Aryeh Leib Tennenhaus, son of Rabbi Mendy and Endi Tennenhaus and grandson of Rabbi Raphael and Goldie Tennenhaus and grandson of Rabbi Moshe and Bassy Spalter.
The Teshurah was primarily prepared by Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus and Rabbi Yehudah Altein, and was reviewed and was greatly assisted for print, thanks to the experience and proficient knowledge on this topic by the Sofer Rabbi Yossi Altein.
Here is a link of this Teshurah, that hopefully will benefit many:
