A Jew, A Professional Photographer, and Three Pictures

Th following story was told over by a professor and was told over in first person by the recipient. The story is accompanied by two of the photographs of the Rebbe.

A professor here told me that his father was once walking in NYC with an Israeli friend on Tisha B’Av 5737, and they got stopped by a group of bochurim on a mitzvah tank who asked if they want to put on Tefillin.

He said “I will do that by mincha” and his friend said no thank you. They asked him, where will you daven? We are going to the Rebbe now. You can come.

His friend, who was a professional photographer asked if he can take pictures. They said yes, sure.

So they hopped on the tank, his friend put on tefillin, they drove to 770, and davened mincha there.

The professor’s father was recently niftar.

The red circle in the third picture is the professor’s father.
