Chabad Yeshiva Building Suffers Direct Hit by Rocket In Kharkov

In the morning of Tuesday, March 15th, a rocket made a direct hit on Yeshiva building of the Kharkov Jewish Community. The building is a second shul used for the boys school and dormitory.

The City of Kharkov has been under constant bombardment since the war began, with the Main synagogue on Pushkinskaya St and the kindergarten and school already having been damaged by nearby explosions.

Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz, Chief Rabbi and Chabad Shliach of Kharkov said in response to the attack, “Despite the attacks on our institutions, the direct hit today on the Yeshiva and the windows of our main synagogue and the kindergarten that were broken from the bombings nearby, we will take the first opportunity renovate and restore and expand all our buildings and programs more than ever before. We are continuing to help evacuate people daily in addition to giving shelter and food to those who have moved into the synagogue and are sending daily hot meals and medicines to the elderly and needy who are trapped in their homes.”
