Miracle In Israel After Chabad Family Attacked Near Lod, Stone Lands Inches From Sleeping Child’s Head

A Chabad family returning to their home in the mixed Jewish/Arab city of Lod Motzei Shabbos came under attack by rioters, and only a miracle saved the family unscathed.

According to reports in the Israeli media, the family had spent shabbos in Northern Israel, and was reentering the City of Lod around 11:00pmwhen they suddenly came under attack by heavy stones hurled at their car.

In a media report, the driver of the vehicle described what took place with both parents and two children in the car.

“While I was driving, I saw some stones [in front of our car], but I did not see the throwers. A few seconds later a large stone landed on my vehicle, a few inches from the head of my sleeping daughter. Miraculously nothing happened to her. There is no doubt that a few inches over to the side, and she would have been injured,” he said.

The police were called, and are reportedly handling the incident,

Such attacks are sadly a common occurrence in Israel, but little media attention is given unless the incidents end in a serious injury of fatality.
