Long Island Hospital To Receive New Bikur Cholim Center

Chabad @ Medical Centers is about to grow in a big way.

Across the street from Long Island Jewish Medical Center, one of the largest hospitals near New York City, there is a property that will soon become the new home for a Chessed and Hospitality center

“We are so excited to announce that Chabad @ The Medical Centers has found an optimal property across the street from the LIJ Hospital campus to serve as the permanent Chessed and Hospitality center,” Rabbi Boruch Wolf of Chabad of the Medical Centers said. “In this location, we will be able to ensure that all are enveloped in love and care, with all of their needs in their times of difficulty being met.”

Seeing over 100,000 patients annually, the Long Island Jewish Medical Center is frequent destination for Jewish people seeking medical care.

To help launch the new Center, a $500,000 fundraising campaign has been launched, and you can help.

“This is an exceptional opportunity to partner with us as we embark upon an ambitious campaign to enable us to close on the new Chessed House by the closing date, in late February,” Wolf said. “Time is of the essence, as we still have approximately half the money left to raise to complete the purchase.”
