Gems From The Schneerson Library: The Bookmarks, Discoveries of Their Own

The Library of the Frierdiker Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, was confiscated by the Bolsheviks and placed in Russia’s state library. CrownHeights.info presents a series of gems discovered in the library and made available to the public.

Pages from heavily worn sefarim were often used as bookmarks in the Schneerson Library. For example, about hundred years ago (or even more), the unknown reader marked a certain passage in the Sefer Ein Yakov printed in (Vilna, 1879) with a page taken from the Seder Ma’amadot.
