Review: ORTHODOXED (2021) – From Drugs and Prince of the Nightclubs to Lubavitcher Chossid
by CrownHeights.info
Looking for a 54 minute commercial on why to choose Orthodox? This is what to watch.
Berel Solomon’s newly released film ORTHODOXED (2021) is everything you don’t expect to see coming from an Orthodox Jew.
Stylish clothes, a dark past, and an energetic aura that hooks you through what is essentially an expertly crafted commercial for Yiddishkeit, makes up this film that may very well be one for the charts.
The incredibly well put together video appears to have finally made Berel’s, (SPOILER ALERT) or should a say Ryan’s dream of a reality show come true. With its debut less than one week ago, and nearly 200,000 views already on YouTube, the cinematically perfect video will likely be played for hundreds of thousands of teens over the next few years, or decades. And they would definitely be better off for it.
An important factor to note, is that in the making of the film, Berel did not fall away from any of his Torah morals. The perfectly tznius video stands out as proof that Hollywood quality films are not incompatible with a Torah message. You just might need someone like Berel Solomon to make it happen.
In summary, just watch it. It may not be an intellectual documentary or a horror film, but it will definitely pique your spiritual interest, and pull your Jewish heartstrings.
