Over 100 Hallendale Women Join Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen in Florida

by Joseph Obermeyer

Wednesday night, at the beautiful venue of the upscale Bisseleh Restaurant in Gulfstream, in the city of Hallandale Beach, over 100 Hallandale women gathered for an “over the top” Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen and Seudas Yom Tov.

Farbrengen was organized by Mrs Brocha Feiner and Mrs Chanie Israel.

Speakers included the Shluchah Rebbetzin Goldie Tennenhaus, Mrs Rivka Goldstein, and Mrs Hodaya Abarbanel. Each speaker spoke from the heart, and inspired the young group of ladies, who are all active members in the growing community, in the teachings of Chassidus and in the ways of Chassidus.

All participants were uplifted, many who met one another for the first time.

The women were so inspired that they are having their own public Tehillim gathering this Shabbos Mevorchim, in addition to their dividing the entire Tehillim every Shabbos Mevorchim for the last two decades.

Chassidishe Niggunim was accompanied with the guitar playing and singing of Brochie Mishulovin and Rochel Giter.

The Hallandale Farbrengen for men was a night earlier, Tuesday night, at Congregation Levi Yitzchok-Lubavitch/Chabad of South Broward Headquarters. Over 150 men and Bochurim attended. The Farbrengen, which included a Seudas Yom Tov, lasted five hours, and it was eloquently led by Rabbi Aaron Matusof, Shliach and director of the Palm Beach Cheder.

Rabbi Matusof spoke about Chinuch, especially a Chassidishe Chinuch, and how careful one must be in seeing the good qualities of every student and every fellow Jew, and never to say anything critical that could crush a child and/or a fellow Jew for many years.

He quoted many teachings from the Alter Rebbe, the Tzemach Tzedek and the Rebbe, about how one must always serve Hashem with Simcha. Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, senior Rabbi of Congregation Levi Yitzchok-Lubavitch and Head Shliach in South Broward, related some Chassidic stories and teachings as well.

Farbrengen was organized by Rabbi Meir Cohen, and the veteran Shluchim Rabbi Mordy Feiner and Rabbi Moshe Schwartz.
