Menorah Stolen From Huntsville Chabad House

by CrownHeights.info

It’s the season of menorahs, latkes, and jelly doughnuts, it’s also the season for Menorah thefts.

Rabbi Moshe Cohen of Chabad of Huntsville, Alabama found that his Chabad Hose was again a target this past Sunday, this time for a Menorah theft.

The Chabad House’s Menorah was taken from in front of the shul on November 15th, and according to Rabbi Cohen, it was caught on camera.

“You think you’re going to take away our menorah, you think you’re going to take away our religious freedom? We’re going to double down, we’re going to putting out more menorahs throughout North Alabama, we’re going to be putting out more efforts to spread goodness, kindness, and joy. So in a way, I thank you for taking my menorah,” WAF48 quoted Rabbi Cohen as saying.

Last year, the Chabad House was also targeted, then with Anti-Semitic graffiti.

Regarding the present menorah theft, the Huntsville Police are investigating the incident as a theft of property, and are in possession of video footage from the theft.
